8th NATIONAL SCIENCE CONFERENCE
“VIETNAM CHEMICAL FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT”
On December 21, 2019, in Hanoi, the Vietnam Chemistry Association held the 8th National Science Conference with the theme “VIETNAMESE CHEMISTRY FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT”.
The conference gathered nearly 300 delegates from the State Management Agencies of the Chemical Industry, Research Institutes, Universities, Domestic Chemical Production and Business Enterprises, Foreign Enterprises, etc. and have foreign investment capital in Vietnam, Foreign experts are working in Vietnam.
Professor Doctor of Science – Academician Dang Vu Minh – President of Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Association, Mr. Le Quoc Khanh – President of Vietnam Chemistry Association attended and delivered a speech to direct the Conference.
During the plenary session in the Great Hall , the Conference heard the following presentations :
- Presentation of Science – Technology Department – Ministry of Industry and Trade on Vietnam Chemical Industry with Industry 4.0
- Presentation of the Vietnam Chemical Group on the issues of concern of the Vietnamese chemical industry towards sustainable development
- Presentation of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group “Scientific achievements and development orientation of oil and gas processing field”
The above presentations gave an overview of the current situation of the organic industry in Vietnam, development directions and practical requirements for managers and scientists to focus on researching and solving in the future and in the future. future. The above presentations also highlighted the importance of further promoting the connection between Scientific Research and Production in the organic industry of our country.
After the plenary session, the Conference divided into 6 specialized sub-committees:
- Workshop “Collection, treatment, use of organic industry waste in circular economy and sustainable development”
- Seminar of the Polymer-Material Subcommittee
- Vietnam – Korea Green Chemistry Workshop
- Workshop of Subcommittee on Natural Compounds and Biochemistry
- Workshop of the Subcommittee on Teaching Chemistry
- Seminar of the Subcommittee on Organic – Pharmaceutical Chemistry – Catalysis
In the sub-committees, many in-depth discussions in the above-mentioned fields were presented, discussed and analyzed deeply. The participants had a good opportunity to directly share many valuable experiences in the research process and apply research results in the practice of their industry.
Although only taking place for a full day, the Conference was organized scientifically, was very lively and highly effective.
